Vine, Twitter's looping 6-second video app, is making the leap from mobile to the web today.
Unlike some mobile services like Instagram, Vine's web existence isn't just a pretty way to view your Vines in a browser. While you can browse profiles, you can also engage on the platform by commenting on Vines and sharing them, as you would with the Android or iOS app. In fact, Vine on the web looks much like it does in the app, with a green logo border across the top, and Vines from yourself and folks you follow posted reverse chronologically in a feed.
Vine is also adding a new web exclusive feature called 'TV Mode.' By clicking a button in the upper right corner of the site, you can view the videos posted on a feed or profile in sequential order, and in full screen glory.
This is great news for those of us that have been using Tumblr or other services as a way to aggregate our Vines in a single place, and for those who've been resorting to YouTube compilations of Vines for viewing lots of them one after the other.
