Gadget review: Meet the big daddy of power banks

If you are looking for a really powerful powerbank, you may want to consider the Adata PV110

Ever since smartphones and tablets came into our lives, powerbanks have become a necessary tool, more so for hardcore users of these smart devices.

In the past, we have written about some lightweight portable powerbanks, but portability always comes with its own limitations, usually in terms of overall power back-up. So, if you were planning on a long outing at a place without access to electricity, there were no choices. Not anymore. For those looking for a long battery back-up, and don't mind lugging some extra weight, you would love the PV110 from the Taiwanese company, Adata. The PV110 features a rechargeable Li-ion battery (10100mAh) with an output current of 1A and 1.2 A. It promises to recharge your smartphone five times, digital SLR camera 11 times, MP4 player six times and tablet at least 1.5 times. The only cause of concern, however, is at 260 gm, this is probably the heaviest powerbank around. But considering the power support, most users wouldn't mind that extra weight.
