For those of you waiting to get your hands on Apple's smaller, pixel-packed iPad, good news: The Retina display iPad mini is officially on sale today.
Starting at $399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi-only model, and running up to $829 if you grab a 128 GB WiFi+Cellular version, the iPad mini with Retina display is currently available online through the Apple Store. You can arrange for personal pickup at Apple retail locations, or you can grab the tablet at AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, and other select resellers.
The second generation iPad mini comes with a 2048 x 1536 resolution display and an A7 processor - the same chip found in the iPhone 5s and the iPad Air. It shares the same physical styling as the original iPad mini, but is just a hair thicker and slightly heavier. We'll have a full review of the Retina iPad mini soon.
