Samsung reveals gadget mad Brits spend nearly seven hours a day using ...

Ever feel you spend too much time gazing at your smartphone?

New research by Samsung has revealed that Brits spend almost seven hours per day using the latest gadgetry outside of work.

TVs and mobiles are the most commonly owned devices, with over a third of British adults stating their household has two of each product within their home.

And a further one in 10 households say they have four smartphones.

Some square-eyed families have even admited to having more than four televisions in their homes.

Here's what the research revealed about how Brits spend their days: * Four hours, seven minutes watching our TV and DVD/Blu-ray players * Two hours, 30 minutes on personal computers * One hour, 13 minutes on the phone * One hour, four minutes using domestic appliances for cleaning * 55 minutes using cooking appliances

However, we are not the worst in Europe for tech addiction.

People in Spain, Italy, Holland, Germany and France all spend longer using tech.

Spanish gadget fans are top of the league for using devices, as they're glued to them for a staggering eight hours and 48 minutes.

And Britain is amongst the thriftiest in Europe when it comes to spending money on tech. On average we spend just £218 in three months on devices, which is £72 less per household than the European average of £290.

Italians are the biggest tech spenders, splashing out over £440 on gadgets.
