Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus owners are claiming the high-tech gadget is LITERALLY pulling their hair out.People have complained the hairs from the top of their heads - and in the case of male owners, their beards - are getting snagged when making calls. They claim the hairs get stuck in the gap between the glass screen and aluminium casing of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, before being pulled out.The claimed phenomenon has been dubbed hair-gate and was first brought to attention by the 9to5mac website.
Anyone else getting beard hairs pulled by the iPhone 6/Plus? It catches my scruff in the seam and yanks it during calls. #hurts #beardgate
Twitter user Chad Coleman
A recent post on their forum read: 'By now we should be aware of the bend-gate issue but it doesn't concern me much. I take good care of my phone.'I'm more concerned and somewhat irritated that my iPhone 6 Plus, keeps yanking out my my hair when I'm making call. 'Initially I thought it was the hair sticking to the screen protector. 'But upon closer inspection, it was the seam between the glass and aluminium - hair gets stuck and when you try to free it out, it hurts. 'I believe it's not only me.'
The latest claims have seen Apple fans flock to social networking site Twitter to poke fun at the issue. Some have even mocked up spoof adverts to show the iPhone 6 being used by a woman as a leg trimmer, or by a man to shave his beard. Others have also posted their frustration with having their hairs pulled out.Chad Coleman wrote: 'Anyone else getting beard hairs pulled by the iPhone 6/Plus? Another user called Kavan added: 'My hair keeps getting caught in the microscopic seam between glass and aluminium on my iPhone 6'.And Paul Peavler tweeted: 'The seam on my iPhone 6 where the aluminum meets the glass is definitely catching my hair and pulling it out. #seamgate'.The new claims follow on the back of the bend-gate controversy, which emerged soon after the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were launched last month.
